1. Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) vs Cincinnati – How dare you rank Rodgers 1 this week after only 184 yards and 1 TD last week? Rodgers is better then that stat line and he will show it this week against a rough Bengals secondary. They played well last week against Kyle Orton and the Broncos, But Rodgers is just better and will play that way.
2. Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints) @ Philadelphia – Philadelphia has a good defense, but no one will stop Drew Brees this year. He absolutely lit up the Detroit secondary last. Although my cousin Eric could light the Lions secondary up. But even 360 yards and 6 TDs is alot for E-Rock. Look for Brees to come back down to earth but still with close or just above 300 yards and at least 2 TDs.
3. Peyton Manning (Indianapolis Colts) @ Miami – The Dolphins defensive backfield did a decent job holding Matt Ryan to 229 yards and 2 TDs in week 1. But he is not Peyton Manning yet. Manning will have a good day as usual against a middle of the road secondary. Miami had problems containing Tony Gonzalez so they should have a ton of fun with Dallas Clark.
4. Tom Brady (New England Patriots) @ New York Jets – Another Jets home opener, another visit from the Pats. Brady is just fine from his injury. True story here folks… Monday Night the Pats were down 24-13, I took my dog for a walk and come back, Patriots won 25-24. I looked at the TV and said “What the Fuck?” And Tom Brady was being interviewed and I was suddenly no longer surprised. He’s a bad man, and even though the Jets defense might seem legit, Brady will get his near 300 yards and a couple TDs.
5. Matt Ryan (Atlanta Falcons) vs. Carolina – Ryan had a pretty darn good game on Sunday against Miami. Matty Ice threw for 229 yards and 2 TDs. The Panthers got smashed last week and Atlanta wants to go for the kill and start thier division rival at 0-2. Ryan will have plenty to do with that task.
6. Matt Hasselbeck (Seattle Seahawks) @ San Francisco - Hasselbeck had a good day last week against a very weak defense. St. Louis just could not handle all of his weapons, and TE John Carlson was the man. San Francisco’s defense did well against the Cardinals offense last week, but Arizona has no run game, and are just not meshing right now. Matt and the Hawks offense are meshing quite well with new WR TJ Who’s your mama. So another 279 yard 3 TD day is very possible for MH this week.
7. Philip Rivers (San Diego Chargers) vs. Baltimore – Rivers did not play as well as many thought he would on Monday night against the Raiders. And on a personal fantasy note, Thank God. The Ravens defense played well against the mighty Brodie Croyle last week, but we are still not 100% sure how the defense will hold up against a high powered one, like the Chargers have. Rivers is a top 10 QB in the NFL and he will get his numbers back this week at home.
8. Kurt Warner (Arizona Cardinals) @ Jacksonville – What happened Kurt? The Cardinals offense struggled a bit last week. Warner still had 288 yards and a TD, but he also threw 2 INTs. The Jaguars didn’t allow the Colts in the end zone much, but Peyton was still able to tally 294 yards. Good, not great for Warner this week.
9. Tony Romo (Dallas Cowboys) vs. New York Giants – Fresh off a sick season debut with 353 yards and 3 TDs, welcome back to reality Tony. The Giants have the sickest defensive line and they will harass Romo all day. Tony will still get his but not nearly as much. 250 and 2 TDs seems more like it this week.
10. Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh Steelers) @ Chicago - Big Ben rocked the Titans with 363 yards and a TD, We won’t mention the 2 INTs. The only way the Steelers will win this game is if Ben is on his game. It’s hard to imagine a world where Pittsburgh is a pass first offense, but until Willie Parker, or Rashard Mendenhall get it together, Ben will be throwing. And throwing to his favorite target Santonio Holmes. 360 is way to much to ask but 275 and TD isn’t.
11.Joe Flacco (Baltimore Ravens) @ San Diego – Flacco’s a Lock-yo. That is my new saying around here. Joe Fleezy took care of business last week with 307 yards and 3 TDs. So bring on the Chargers secondary that allowed JaMarcus Russell of all people to break 200 yards passing. But seriously Flacco is gaining steam in my mind to be a top 10 QB this year. He will be bale to provide some solid stats for you this week.
12. Trent Edwards (Buffalo Bills) vs. Tampa Bay – Edwards had a workman-like 212 yards and 2 TDs against a tough Patriots team. He led the team to what should have been the game winning drive. Tampa’s defense is weaker then New Englands’ and it seems to me they have a problem giving up big plays. Tony Romo threw a 42, 66, and 80 yard touchdowns passes, so Lee Evans and TO should be able to get some deep looks. 230 yards and 2 TDs
13. Brett Favre (Minnesota Vikings) @ Detroit – After the ass-kicking Brees delivered to Detroit in week 1, you would think every QB that plays Detroit should be ranked in the top 5. Not when Adrian Peterson is your running back. Brett will still toss a few balls around this week, but the main focus will be AD. Favre should still give you solid numbers, but nothing spectacular.
14. Matt Schaub (Houston Texans) @ Tennessee – Schaub may still be waking up screaming “Someone block Bart Scott, or David Harris, or Kris Jenkins” Things won’t get any easier for him this week as the Texans head to Tennessee. The Titans gave up plenty of yards to the Steelers through the air last week, so Matt should have some success. Houston will have to wait at least one more week for an offensive explosion. It’s looking like 230 and a TD for Schauby this week.
15. Eli Manning (New York Giants) @ Dallas – The Giants win games on defense and with the running game. Which means Eli doesn’t get many chances to have huge games. He won’t lose the game for you either. Dallas’ defense is supposed to be pretty good. Byron Leftwich threw for 276 yards against the last week. Eli finished his game against the Redskins with 256 yards and a TD. Expect something along the same line this week. But dip on the yardage
16. Kyle Orton (Denver Broncos) vs. Cleveland – What a strike that was to Brandon Stokely! Orton didn’t eactly shine last week against a shotty Bengals secondary. Cleveland’s isn’t the best either. Including the fluke 80 yarder to Stokely, Orton threw for 243 yards and a TD. The Browns’ defense can be exploited through the air and on the ground. I expect a balanced offensive game plan which will produce a 220 yard 1 TD game this week for Orton.

17. Carson Palmer (Cincinnati Bengals) @ Green Bay – Palmer threw for 243 yards and 2 INTs last week against the Broncos. Come on Carson. You are going to need to do better than that this week to keep pace with Aaron Rodgers. Palmer could have easily been ranked higher if he didn’t shit the bed in week 1. Not all his fault though, one INT cam on a tip, and the other was a Hail Mary.
18. Jay Cutler (Chicago Bears) vs. Pittsburgh – Cutler threw 4 picks last week. That’s Jake Delhomme territory. We know he is not that bad so he should rebound against the Steelers. But an improvement over his debut against Green Bay won’t be to difficult. Pittsburgh has that nasty defense, so don’t expect much from Cutler this week. He should still be able to manage 225 yards and a TD
19. Byron Leftwich (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) @ Buffalo - Not to bad against the Cowboys last week as he threw for 247 yards, 1 TD and no picks. The Bills have a tough secondary, but the short week off of a tough loss is going to hurt the team this week. Leftwich is going to go nuts, but 220 and a TD sounds about right.
20. Kerry Collins (Tennessee Titans) vs. Houston – Collins is still a good QB in this league and he had 244 yards and a TD last week against Pittsburgh. He had to throw because the Titans couldn’t run. This week they will be able to run, and they will. Kerry should still be able to reach 210 and maybe a TD.
