Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin has informed agent Drew Rosenhaus, the Arizona Cardinals and the NFL Players Association of plans to fire Rosenhaus amid stalled attempts to force a trade or a new contract. Rosenhaus, who represents more NFL players than any other agent, had tried pressuring the Cardinals into trading the 28-year-old receiver. He released the following statement to ESPN.com: “Regarding Anquan Boldin, let me say that I have great respect for him. I’m hopeful we can work this out and he can return to the Rosenhaus Sports family in the near future.”
He may have lost a client, but he gets one back…
Rosenhaus has been re-hired by Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey. “We are pleased to announce today that we have re-signed Jeremy Shockey,” Rosenhaus said in a statement sent to ProFootballTalk.com by e-mail. Shockey and Rosenhaus engineered a trade between the New York Giants and the Saints last July.
And he gets right to work…
Shockey is “100 percent and feeling great” after being hospitalized Sunday for dehydration and will participate in the team’s mandatory upcoming minicamp, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.
