A Third Team now Wants Burress, It’s not the Dolphins

Free agent WR Plaxico Burress‘ Agent Drew Rosenhaus says on his Twitter page that a third NFL team has interest. He writes, “Good news for Plaxico as a 3rd team has just expressed serious interest in signing him. I won’t identify any of the teams at their request.” It could be the Bears, whose receivers struggled with drops at minicamps.

Plax has told people he would love to join the Dolphins if his legal problems are resolved. The Jets and Buccaneers are reportedly interested. Burress will appear in court next month and faces the possibility of a 3 ½ year sentence for carrying an unlicensed firearm.

But, the Dolphins are not now and probably will not be interested later in Burress even if he clears the marathon course of legal hurdles he must navigate before getting back in the game.
