Brett Favre is scheduled to meet Tuesday with noted orthopedist James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala. Surgery to release the tendon is considered routine and is expected to be performed by Andrews later this week. Rehabilitation for Favre would be six to eight weeks.
If it goes well, Farve, who will turn 40 in October, is expected to sign with the Minnesota Vikings.
Adrian Peterson has recently joined the likes of Jared Allen and Bernard Berrian, who recently endorsed a Brett Favre signing.
Peterson said during an interview with ESPN that he knows “it’s a possibility” that retired QB Brett Favre might sign with the team. Peterson said, “Just him coming in, the leadership he would definitely bring, a guy that’s well respected, been around the league a long time, I’m a big fan of him. I grew up watching him, just loving the passion he played with. That would be something he would definitely bring to the locker room.”
Like I’m Supposed to belive this guy: Favre’s agent, Bus Cook couldn’t confirm nor deny the report on Saturday, but said “there’s absolutely no substance to all the speculation” surrounding the veteran quarterback’s un-retirement.
Classic Sage

Please remember that Nothing Surprises Sage Rosenfels anymore, but now he doesn’t comment on things that hasn’t happened yet. On Favre coming to Minny, “It doesn’t make any sense to comment on something that hasn’t happened,” says Sage.
