1. Adrian Peterson (Minnesota Vikings) vs. San Francisco – Peterson didn’t disappoint in week 2 after running circles around Detroit in week 1. He racked up 119 total yards and a TD in week 2. This weeks match up might be a little tougher with the 49ers defense getting better, but he is still AD. another 125 + yard day with at least a TD
2. Maurice Jones Drew (Jacksonville Jaguars) @ Houston – Last week against the Cardinals, MJD fell victim to a big defecit forcing Jacksonville to throw the ball. Houston has the weapons to run up the score, but the Jags will force feed the ball to Jones Drew. This should be a real good game for MJD. 120/1
3. Fred Jackson (Buffalo Bills) vs. New Orleans – Last game for Freddy as Marshawn Lynch returns from suspension next week. Jackson certainly earned to chance to continue starting. The Bills will do everything possible to keep Drew Brees off the field, this means mondo carries for Jackson. 120/1
4. Matt Forte (Chicago Bears) @ Seattle – Forte might be the early lead for bust of the year after an awesome rookie season. Yet to score a TD or break 100 yards or 75 yards, or 60 yards. You get the picture. But this week against Seattle he will regain his game and give fantasy owners is first double digit performance.
5. Clinton Portis (Washington Redskins) @ Detroit – Portis is off to a decent year with about 70 yards rushing a game. Still no TD. The perfect tonic for a good game with a TD…The Lions rush defense.
1. Adrian Peterson (Minnesota Vikings) @ Detroit – The only rush defense worse than the Browns, is Detroits. The Lions just got lit up by Mike Bell. In other words expect Adrian to run all over Detroit almost the same as he ran over the Browns. It would be shocking if AD didn’t eclipse 125 yards and have at least 2 TDs.
2. Brian Westbrook (Philadelphia Eagles) vs. New Orleans – McNabb is out for week 2, most likely. If that is the case the entire offense will go through Westy. Beautiful. The only way to stop Drew Brees from throwing touchdowns is keeping him on the sideline. I don’t think the Saints defense is good enough to stop BW. So look for Westy to rack up around 120 yards and a TD.
3. Michael Turner (Atlanta Falcons) vs. Carolina – Remember the last time Turner played Carolina. 117 yards and 4 TDs. Turner and the Falcons rushing attack will get back on track this week. 4 TDs? No. 2? Yes.
4. Maurice Jones-Drew (Jacksonville Jaguars) vs. Arizona – The Cardinals offense struggled last week. But they won’t play like that every week. The only way to stop them is keep them off the field. MJD is set up to have a nice day this week. Even though Arizona held Gore and company in check. 115 and at least 1 TD

6. Chris Johnson (Tennessee Titans) vs. Houston – After a rough start to 2009 against Pittsburgh, Johnson gets to run against an entirely new and softer defense. Houston was abused by Thomas Jones and Leon Washington last week, as Jones had 2 long runs. CJ is faster and may have a couple 40 yarders waiting for him. 115/1 [click to continue…]
1. Adrian Peterson (Vikings) @ Cleveland – Peterson opens up with a favorable run starting with the Browns in week 1. Cleveland’s defense was brutal last year. Even if they got better, they will still be pretty brutal. All Day should light up the Browns All Day, HA!
2. LaDainian Tomlinson (Chargers) @ Oakland – LT is not the same LT as years past, but he still a stud with a sweet matchup in week 1. The Raiders rush defense leaves plenty to be desired and LT has killed them in the past.
3. Michael Turner (Falcons) vs. Miami - The burner was the free agent signing of the decade for the Falcons. Atlanta brought in Tony Gonzalez and that will help open up lanes for Turner. Miami’s defense is ok against the run, but not good enough to hold MT down.
4. Steven Jackson (Rams) @ Seattle – Jackson might be on a terrible team, but he is far from a terrible back, and the Seahawks rush defense is far from good. So as far as I can tell, Jackson should in for a fine day, even though the game takes place in Seattle.
Ravens running back Willis McGahee said he doesn’t mind being the backup to Ray Rice for now. McGahee had been limited for most of the offseason after having arthroscopic knee surgery. Because Rice has been going with the starters during his absence, McGahee said he didn’t expect to supplant Rice immediately. “It wouldn’t be right,” McGahee said Tuesday during the final minicamp for veterans. “I don’t mind. Work is work. That’s either with the first, second or third.”
As a rookie, Ray Rice placed third on the team with 107 carries for 454 yards, and he is obviously aiming to increase those numbers. Rice added a noticeable amount of bulk to his upper body to be more of an every-down runner. Head coach John Harbaugh believes Rice can fill that role. “Not that he wasn’t a tackle-breaker last year – he was a tackle-to-tackle runner at Rutgers, that was what he did – but he’s come a long way,” Harbaugh said. “Now, people see him as a third-down back because of the success he had last year, but I don’t think we have any question that he can be an every-down back.”
The Saints were reported to be interested in Edgerrin James, but today when head coach Sean Payton was asked if he had any more thoughts about bringing in another veteran running back he responded with “No. Right now we’re content with the guys we have.”
Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha, who did not participate in the Raiders’ last OTA, was present and accounted for Tuesday, according to the club’s Twitter page. Quarterback Charlie Frye, signed Monday, also got in his first work as a Raider.
Texans TE Owen Daniels has become the second player to skip organized team activities this offseason because of a contract dispute with the franchise’s front office. Daniels, who had participated in the first three weeks of OTAs, did not show up to the team’s voluntary workout Tuesday. While teams cannot make OTAs mandatory, Daniels and Dunta Robinson are the only two missing. “Obviously we’re in the middle of negotiations,” General manager Rick Smith said. “He’s well within in his rights not to be here. We wish he were working out like he had been, but we understand it.”
Jets QB Kellen Clemens continued to work with the first team Tuesday and outperformed rookie QB Mark Sanchez but head coach Rex Ryan said the quarterback competition is going to be “fierce.” Sanchez has the stronger arm, and was throwing lasers in a one-on-one drill, but he has to avoid mistakes. Ryan wants Sanchez to also improve his voice, as he wants Sanchez to be louder and more inflective with his cadence.
Cowboys RB Tashard Choice taking snaps at QB in Razorback . Coach Wade Phillips said it was just a matter of the Cowboys exploring their options for the benefit of their offense and their defense. “I like it. I have a chance to get the ball in my hands,” Choice said. “They are looking at it to see how they like it. They’ve got to have somebody who can run and throw. Most times it’s a running back.”
